With Psychz Network's true DDoS Protection service, we are able to mitigate layer 3/4 attacks. Our DDoS protection provides layers of defense through enhanced network routing, rate limiting and filtering that can be paired with advanced network-based detection and mitigation scrubbing center solutions.
Layer 3 also known as Network Layer handles the Network connection by providing data routing paths for network communication. Attacks on layers 3 basically try to exhaust the network resources of the target with the aim to saturate the connections or its ability to handle any new connections.
Some of the most common types of Layer 3 attacks are
ICMP Flood
Also known as ping flood, is a common Denial of Service (DoS) attack in which an attacker takes down a victim's machine by overwhelming it with ICMP echo requests, also known as pings.
IP/ICMP Fragmentation
Another common type of layer 3 DDoS attack is IP fragmentation where the attacker exploits the datagram fragmentation mechanism which is very important for the packets that were broken down and sent across the network.
Our scrubbers are highly effective in identifying the suspicious pattern on IP level and drops any unwanted traffic and only allows clean traffic to pass through the network. Once the attacks reach our network, we apply Access Control List Rules ( ACLs) blocking traffic at the edge of our network. Second stage of mitigation involves inspecting and analyzing each packet ensuring no malicious, service disrupting traffic makes it through to our clients.
By default, all dedicated servers and colocation service come with free 2 Gbps protection. If you need a higher protection level, our DDoS protection packages for dedicated servers offer mitigation up to 500Gbps.
We also offer Remote DDoS Protection for clients who require mitigation services at their own facility. Using GRE tunnels, we can divert traffic to our network for inspection, analysis and filtering to ensure high availability of your online business or project.

Also, if you have your own IPs and wish to use them with our servers, we can announce them over our network and you are good to go. With this, you can avail free DDoS protection of 2Gbps and can upgrade it to up to 500Gbps (Max) at an additional cost.
We don't charge you if you want to announce your IPs over our network. All you have to do is submit an LOA (Letter of Authority) in a certain format and we shall do the rest.
