Set Device Name for your Devices

This article focuses on the "Device Name" feature that we have inculcated in our portal. Previously, the customers that availed servers or services with us were provided with a Device ID. It was observed that the customers with multiple devices found it quite cumbersome to manage the devices. Hence, we have added a "Device Name" field in which you can name your device and save it for proper identification of the device. This feature is included so that our customers can manage the devices conveniently.

• Label Device Name (While Ordering)
• Edit Device Name (Existing Device)

The device can be named at the time of ordering the servers and can be edited by logging in the dashboard.

Here are some steps by which you can name your device or edit the device name.

Device Name while ordering

You can name your device at the time of ordering your server. Please follow the steps given below.

1. Please go to our website and click on the "Dashboard" button.

2. Log in to the Dashboard with your Username and Password.

3. On the left-hand drop-down menu, go to Services/Devices >> Order Service.

4. The "Order Service" page contains all the servers and services we have to offer.

5. Click on the "Order" button to view the specifications and order the server.

6. The Order page contains the Device Name feature under the Device Details option.

Edit Device Name

You may have multiple devices associated with your account. The device name can be edited by logging in to your Dashboard. Please follow the steps given below.

1. Please go to our website and click on the "Dashboard" button.

2. Log in to the Dashboard with your Username and Password.

3. On the Dashboard, you will see a drop-down menu on the left-hand side. On the left-hand drop-down menu, go to Services/Devices >> Devices.

4. The Devices page displays a list of all the devices associated with your account. The page contains all the vital information about the devices such as DEVICE ID, DESCRIPTION, DEVICE NAME, SERVICE, ID, LABEL, STATUS, LOCATION, and ACTION.

5. Click on the "View" button on the rightmost corner of the row to view the details of the particular device.

6. Edit the "Device Name" field with the name you want to identify the device with.

7. Click on the "Save" button.
