Psychz Networks is always pursuing adding value to our services and improving your overall experience as a user. So far, this year has been exhilarating as we deployed several new features that will overall improve our CDN services.
Here's a snapshot of some of the key updates that were released so far
Cache Prefetch
Cache Prefetch is a way for the content to already be on the nearest node cache almost instantaneously available to a visitor upon request. This is achieved by allowing the edge server to fetch necessary resources from the origin server required to display the content that a user might access soon. The browser cache stores these resources enabling faster delivery. Prefetching reduces latency to the user as the next set of data will have already been transferred from the origin to the edge server when the user asks for it.
The prefetch feature allows you to upload specified URLs or many URLs (by uploading CSV files) to other nodes on the CDN network in advance. To know more about this feature and how to use it, please refer to the following help article https://www.psychz.net/client/kb/en/add-urls-to-prefetch-function-.html
SSL Auto Renewals
Now, you need not worry about your SSL expiry anymore. We have implemented auto-renewals of SSL for your domains added on our CDN network with our new feature.
Note: This feature is currently applicable on "Auto SSL" only.
Secure Tokens for domains
Under security options, you can now use Security tokens to improve the security of your URLs by masking them. Security tokens or URL tokens are a way to give users access permission for various Web resources. It is a technique involving Stealth Redirection or URL Hiding to ensure that your visitors see the original domain name and not the destination URL.
The Security Token module verifies a requested resource's validity by comparing an encoded string in the HTTP request URL with the string it computes for that request. If a link has a limited lifetime and the time has expired, the link is considered outdated. To know how to integrate these codes (PHP & Python) please refer to the following respective articles

CDN Global Reports
Our Global Reports feature for CDN allows you to monitor and analyze traffic and usage of multiple domains under one roof.
The feature allows you to generate reports basis on several filters, including
• Domain: You can choose multiple domains that are attached to the CDN service.
• Route: Standard or Premium
• Period: You can choose the duration of the reports that you want the system to generate
• Interval: You can define the frequency of the report generation
• Chart Type: You can choose the parameter (Cache/Header Response/Traffic) that makes the chart.
To explore this feature, go to Dashboard > Reports > CDN Global Report.
Additional Protocols
We have added a new set of protocols to our "Add Domains" feature. These protocols include
• Sub-domain: While adding a domain, you can use a toggle function to allow the system to create a sub-domain for you. A sub-domain act as an extension of your domain name to help you organize and navigate to different sections of your website.
•Park Domain: This feature allows you to assign a domain to your primary domain so that any accidental traffic to your parked domain is redirected to your main site. To know how to access this feature, please refer to our article https://www.psychz.net/client/kb/en/park-domains.html
• Follow Edge-to-Origin (Location Protocol) : This connection can be used when the content is not cached; the request goes to the origin server.
Origin Shield (CDN Global setting)
Having an origin shield is always a good idea to reduce the load on your origin server and maintain high-performance content delivery. Origin Shield is an extra caching layer between the CDN edge servers and your origin. This increases your cache-hit efficiency, lets you serve content faster and more efficiently, and keeps your site running smoothly. Please refer to the following article to know how to activate Origin Shield https://www.psychz.net/client/kb/en/how-to-activate-origin-shield.html
Header Override
The following feature allows you to add a custom header to manage (edit or delete) the header value and the header name.
The Location Header Override is used to map the location of the content with a header value. This page contains the location of the content with its corresponding header name and header value. You can edit or delete the header value and the header name. In redirection cases, the HTTP method used to make the new request to fetch the page pointed to by location depends on the original method and the kind of redirection. To explore this feature, please refer to the following article https://www.psychz.net/client/kb/en/how-to-create-a-header-override.html
Image Optimization (Coming Soon)
Customer experience is of paramount importance, and offering the right image visual quality with almost zero-effort integration is simply a boon. Our Image optimization feature will allow you to deliver the optimized images across the web and mobile with minimal effort.
Though this feature is still in development and will be launched very soon, it will prove to be a valuable tool if your website is image-heavy. The feature, once enabled, will transform, optimize, and deliver images on your website in a highly speedy manner. Not only will the images load faster, but the feature is also equipped with parameters like size, format, effects, quality, etc. This makes it easy to create variations of images for different use cases and will ensure uniformity of all the images on your website.
The feature will also optimize the bandwidth consumption by 25% by reducing your overall page size by 30%. Stay tuned for further updates on the Image Optimization feature.
We hope that you make full use of these added features and if you have any queries, please write to us. Kindly stay tuned for more updates on new upcoming features.
